How It Works

A photo shoot with Tony can be tailored to suit your family's needs. To make full use of the session, changes of clothes will be useful if only to have something dry to put on if you decide to make use of the sea in your photographs!  Please don't forget to bring a towel.

Portraits Image 04You will have the opportunity to view your images in the comfort of our Studio. The viewing usually happens within ten days of the shoot or much quicker if you are here on holiday. Feel free to bring grandparents or friends to the viewing to help you choose your pictures. Unfortunately we are unable to have children at the viewing. The viewing of your photographs normally takes around an hour, as there will be many pictures to select from and you are likely to love them all. The date and time of your viewing will be set at the booking stage and confirmed at the shoot. Before you attend the viewing it is useful to have thought about whom you would like products for (perhaps Grandparents or other family members) and where you would like to hang your choice of art in your own home. This will often have an influence over the products you ultimately choose.

Our aim is to provide you with an ongoing record of your and your family's journey through life. Details of special offers will be sent via email and advertised on the web-site. It is normal for Tony's clients to mix the seasons with subsequent shoots, and these can include: An autumn woodland session with vibrant colour and the fun of crashing through the fallen leaves. A winter shoot with frost and gorgeous low angle sunlight. A spring shoot in bluebell woods or gardens with daffodils. A summer shoot on the beach or perhaps in a meadow with a picnic. A certain amount of flexibility is required when making a booking to account for inclement weather. Tony doesn't always need sun, in fact it often restricts opportunities, but rain is a no-no. It rarely rains all day so in the event of inclement weather, we will always try to re-schedule your shoot.

Portraits Image 05Clothes:

If there is more than one child to be included in the photo session, I will photograph them individually and together. Please give some thought as to how they will look together. It is generally best to avoid large writing on clothes, as this distracts from the child in the photographs. You may also wish to have several changes of clothes handy. I quite often use the sea as one of the backdrops for your photographs. It is a good idea to bring a towel and spare clothes and shoes if you think you may be getting wet!

Toddlers:

Please make sure that your appointment time is a good time for your children. If they are tired and hungry they will be very difficult to photograph. We sometimes suggest a little break to settle them down, and therefore when we go 'on location' it may be helpful to bring their own juice beaker or bottle of milk to comfort them.

Although we ask you to allow at least an hour for the photographs, we sometimes find that with very young children the best results are achieved in the first 15 minutes.
